Reaching Calabria can be quite tricky as the only direct flights are from London and they can become quite pricey in the summer. However, a significant amount of money can be saved by booking the flights in advance (an average of £150 pp or less for the round trip is feasible).

HOW TO REACH CALABRIA:

These are the airports located in Calabria:

  • Lamezia Terme (SUF)

  • Reggio Calabria (REG)

Below are alternative airports located outside of Calabria, with train and car transport easily accessible. In order from closest to furthest:

  • Catania (1h30 minutes per car, we can arrange pick up)
  • Naples (around 4 hours by train, but the train station is only a short ride from the venue)
  • Rome (around 5, 5.30 hours by train - yes, that is a short train ride for us - usually comfortably done when booking Freccia Rossa or Argento)

Please see the guide below and do not hesitate to contact Elena for help, she can sort several flights in minutes and at the most convenient price (let's not forget she did work for Lufthansa).

From Manchester:

Direct flight + 1h30 car ride:

  • Manchester - Catania, Easy Jet (These flights get pricey rather quickly)

Connecting flights:

  • Manchester - Milan // Milan - Lamezia Terme (Easy Jet)

  • Manchester - Milano Bergamo // Milano Bergamo - Lamezia Terme (Ryanair, these are often done within the day and at a cheap price)

Flight + train:

  • Manchester - Rome (either Easy Jet or Ryanair) and then a train to Calabria

From London Stansted:

Direct flight:

  • London Stansted - Lamezia Terme (This will land you around 40 minutes away from the venue)

Direct flight (if available):

  • London Stansted to Reggio Calabria
